Our cosy static caravan is located at West Mersea Holiday Park on the beautiful Mersea Island in Essex.The two bedroom caravan sleeps up to 4 guests but also includes a comfortable sitting area with enough room for an airbed, fully equipped kitchen, eating area and a private decking area perfect for relaxing after a day exploring all that Mersea Island has to offer.

About Mersea Island

Mersea Island, located off the coast of Essex in the estuary of the River Blackwater, is the most easterly inhabited island in the UK.
Despite being only a short distance from the mainland near the city of Colchester, the island has a distinctive character shaped by the sea, fishing traditions, and its unique geography.
One of Mersea's most distinctive features is The Strood, the single road that connects the island to the mainland. This ancient causeway has been used since Roman times, but it sits only slightly above sea level. As a result, during particulary high tides the road can become submerged, temporarily cutting off the island from the rest of Essex until the water recedes. For residents and visitors alike, checking the tide times is an important part of daily life.
The island is also famous for it's seafood, especially the renowned Mersea native oysters. Harvested from the surrounding estuary waters visitors often come specifically to enjoy them and other fresh seafood from local bars and resturants.Mersea Island offers a unique coastal atmosphere that reflects both its history and its reliance on the surrounding sea. You can also keep an eye out for red squirrels which still inhabit the island.

Rental prices are £100 a night for a minimum of 3 nights per stay. However we can offer single and two night stays for an extra £25 per night.
This price includes unlimited internet, bedding and towels.
We ask for a £100 cancelation and damage deposit to be paid upon booking which is refundable within 48hrs of your stay ending unless otherwise agreed.Please note there is a strict no smoking or vaping policy in the caravan.
